A New Milestone for Takeuchi
The release of the Takeuchi TL12V-2 vertical lift track loader marks an important step for Takeuchi of Japan. Known for building rugged and high-performance machinery, Takeuchi continues to raise the bar in the construction industry.
Many contractors value Japanese-made equipment for its strength and reliability. Even with a higher price tag, professionals see it as a smart investment because of durability, efficiency, and strong resale value.
The Largest in Its Class
The TL12V-2 vertical lift track loader weighs just under six tonnes, making it the largest and most powerful in its class. Compared to the earlier TL12 radial lift model, this machine delivers up to 45% greater operating capacity. Itโs a completely new design, built from the ground up for heavy-duty work.
Built for Heavy-Duty Performance
Vertical lift machines can be complex, but Takeuchi designed the TL12V-2 with rugged engineering for long-term reliability. Its main strength is lifting capacity, making it ideal for pallet forks, heavy attachments, or truck loading.
A Kubota 3.8-litre diesel engine powers the loader with 81.8 kW, meeting both U.S. EPA Final Tier 4 and EU Stage IV emissions standards.

Improved Undercarriage and Track
The machine features a โquiet track designโ that reduces vibration and noise. A longer track length improves ground contact, stability, and ride quality. Integrated cross members and a fully welded frame add strength while making cleaning easier.
Contractors working in forestry or mulching will also benefit from the standard ROPS and FOPS level 2 roof guard.

Operator Comfort and Control
Takeuchi focused on operator comfort in this model. The cabin is larger and quieter than before, with an extra 77 mm of width. Eight air-conditioning vents improve airflow, while the high-back suspension seat reduces fatigue.
A 5.7-inch colour display connects to a rear camera, making it easy to monitor machine performance. Designers also lowered the boom arm cross member to keep the operatorโs view clear.
Easy Attachment Management
The loader includes an electrical harness that connects to the hand controls. This makes it simple to operate attachments like tilting blades or profilers. High-flow hydraulics come standard, which is ideal for running forestry mulchers or other demanding tools.
The hydraulic quick hitch allows operators to change buckets and attachments without leaving the cabin. Ride Control improves stability and keeps material in the bucket on uneven ground.
A new LCD dash panel makes all functions easy to track. Operators can adjust horsepower, switch to economy mode for light tasks, and set hydraulic flow levels to match specific attachments.
Looking Ahead
While the TL12V-2 is Takeuchiโs first vertical lift track loader, the company plans to apply many of its design improvements to future radial lift models as well.
